Who carries Cigna
Cigna covers a large share of the technology, finance, and professional employers along the Wasatch Front, including many of the companies in the Draper and Lehi corridor. Some members still carry cards branded Great-West.
Cigna administers both fully insured plans and self-funded employer plans. The logo looks the same either way, so we verify which one you have and what it covers before your visit.

Where to be seen
Allergy injections are given during walk-in shot hours. No appointment is needed for a shot, but plan to stay 30 minutes afterward.

Cigna questions we get
Is an allergist a specialist visit on my Cigna plan?
Yes. Allergy and immunology is a specialty, so specialist cost sharing applies. What that costs you depends on whether you are on an HSA plan, a copay plan, or an open-access plan.
Does Cigna cover allergy testing?
Skin testing is a standard covered benefit when there is a documented clinical reason for it. We record why each allergen is tested, which is also what keeps the claim clean.
Can I get my allergy shots here if I was tested somewhere else?
Often yes. We need the original prescription and the testing records first, and Dr. Nicholson reviews them before taking over your treatment.
