Who carries GEHA

GEHA is one of the largest plans in the Federal Employees Health Benefits program. Along the Wasatch Front that means a lot of members at Hill Air Force Base, the IRS campus in Ogden, the VA, Social Security, TSA at the airport, and the federal offices downtown.

GEHA offers several plan options and they do not all use the same provider network. The plan name printed on your card โ€” not just the GEHA logo โ€” is what determines your network, so bring the whole card.

Federal Open Season runs from mid-November to mid-December, which is the window to change options for the following year.

Common Questions

GEHA questions we get

Which GEHA option do I have?

Your card lists the specific option. Because GEHA's options can use different provider networks, we check the exact one rather than assuming. Call us with the card in hand and it takes a minute.

I am a federal retiree on GEHA with Medicare. How does that work?

Medicare and your FEHB plan coordinate, and which pays first depends on your situation. Tell us about both when you book so we bill in the right order the first time.

Is immunotherapy covered under FEHB plans?

Allergen immunotherapy is generally covered, but cost sharing differs by option. Your plan brochure has the detail and we are glad to help you read it.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Before you start immunotherapy: we recommend calling your plan to verify benefits for allergy extract preparation (CPT 95165) and injections (CPT 95115 / 95117). Our staff is happy to walk you through it โ€” call 801-965-3550.

Ready to stop guessing what you're allergic to?

Same-week appointments at three Salt Lake Valley locations. We'll verify your GEHA benefits before your visit.
