Who carries Deseret Mutual (DMBA)
Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators, usually just called DMBA, administers health benefits for employees of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its affiliated organizations.
That includes the Corporation of the President and the Corporation of the Presiding Bishop, Deseret Book, Deseret Management, Deseret News, Deseret Digital Media, Property Reserve, Suburban Land Reserve, City Creek Reserves, Temple Square Hospitality, Family Services, and the Church universities.
DMBA is headquartered in Sandy, and a large share of its Salt Lake Valley membership works downtown, in Riverton, or at Welfare Square — all within reach of our three offices.

Seasonal & year-round allergies
Sagebrush, kochia, Russian thistle, juniper, cottonwood, grass, mold, dust mite, cat and dog.
Asthma
Diagnosis with spirometry, control plans, and biologic therapy for severe disease.
Allergy shots (immunotherapy)
Skin testing, an extract mixed for your own sensitivities, then weekly injections.
Food allergy & OIT
Testing, oral food challenges, and oral immunotherapy for peanut and tree nut allergy.
Drug & penicillin allergy
Testing and supervised challenges to clear an outdated label off your chart.
Chronic hives & eczema
Work-up for chronic urticaria, angioedema, and difficult atopic dermatitis.
Where to be seen
Allergy injections are given during walk-in shot hours. No appointment is needed for a shot, but plan to stay 30 minutes afterward.

Which DMBA plan option do I have?
DMBA offers more than one medical option, and your cost sharing depends on which one you selected during open enrollment in the fall. Your member portal shows your current selection, or we can verify it for you.
Are allergy shots covered under DMBA?
Allergen immunotherapy is generally a covered medical benefit. Because immunotherapy runs three to five years, we walk you through the expected cost per visit before you start.
I am a senior missionary or a retiree. Does my coverage work the same way?
DMBA administers several distinct programs and the benefits are not identical. Call us with your ID and we will check the specific plan you are on.
