Who carries Meritain Health
Meritain Health administers self-funded health plans on behalf of employers. If your card says Meritain, your employer is paying the claims and Meritain is processing them.
That matters in one practical way: benefits are set by your employer, not by a standard product, so two people holding Meritain cards can have genuinely different coverage. We verify yours specifically rather than working from a general answer.
Your card will also indicate which provider network the plan uses, which is what determines whether a specialist is in network for you.

Work-up for chronic urticaria, angioedema, and difficult atopic dermatitis.
Where to be seen
Allergy injections are given during walk-in shot hours. No appointment is needed for a shot, but plan to stay 30 minutes afterward.

Meritain Health questions we get
Meritain is not an insurance company. Does my coverage still work normally?
Yes. From your side it works the same way — you present a card, we bill, the plan pays. The only difference is that your employer defines the benefits.
How do I find out what my plan actually covers?
Your employer's summary plan description is the authoritative document, and HR can provide it. We can also call the number on your card and verify benefits for the specific services we are planning.
Does my plan cover allergy shots for three to five years?
Immunotherapy is usually covered, but because it is a multi-year commitment it is worth confirming at the outset and again each plan year, since employers can change benefits annually.
